What is the History of The Settlement Institute? The Settlement Institute was formed in 2006; however, it has been in the works for many many years.
In 2006 The Settlement Institute was formed to help meet the needs of quality education, information, and support for professional advisors around the U.S. The founding team of The Settlement Institute are all national experts in their fields and saw the lack of top quality and cutting edge information and education to help professional advisors advance their businesses beyond the normal realm of thinking… and beyond the normal strategies.
So, in reaction to the large demand apparent in the marketplace for top quality information and education on the subjects of:

- Structured Settlements (personal injury settlement planning)
- Appreciated asset related tax topic
… The Settlement Institute launched its first batch of top quality information products. These first educational, training, and support resources include:

These resources were met with an excellent response from the financial and tax communities all of the way from seasoned professional advisors to brand new sellers.
To help spread the word of The Settlement Institute, we created our website: www.settlementinstitute.org, which is envisioned to become a vast online information portal for professional advisors and sellers to come to learn everything from A to Z on the topics of Exit Planning, Structured Settlements, and Appreciated asset related tax.
